Our Take On The Top 30 Best Selling Vehicles Sales Numbers
Pickups blocked SUVs out of the top spots in August in Canada, despite surging sales of the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V compared with last August’s levels.
The Honda Civic clung on to the second spot, remaining Canada’s best-selling passenger car and seeing off the advances of the Ram Pickup for the second month in a row. The Ram drew out an early lead on Civic this year after strong months in March May and June, meaning year-to-date the pickup displaces the passenger car by more than 10,000 sales.
The Hyundai Kona dropped to 29th and the Kia Soul to 30th in the chart, after both impressively occupied mid-twenties positions in July. In their places, further up the top-30 this month are the Dodge Grand Caravan, taking 13th, the Ford Edge, in eighteenth, and the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport in 18th, with the Santa Fe Sport’s sales surging by 34.4% on last August’s performance.
