Our Take On The Top 20 Best Selling SUV Sales Numbers
The top-20 selling SUVs in America through September saw an overall drop in sales compared with the same month last year, as trade uncertainty and a shorter month chipped away at these vehicles’ sales totals.
The four models making up the top one-fifth of the top-20 – the Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Honda CR-V and Chevrolet Equinox – all saw sales fall, with the top two seeing decreases of more than 10% year-on-year.
Growth leaders for the month were two Jeeps – the Cherokee and Compass – and the Honda Pilot. Honda’s light truck sales were up 6% on last September for a record month, despite the fall in CR-V sales, as its passenger car sales slid 20%.
