Our Take On The Top 20 Best Selling SUV Sales Numbers
The Ford Escape and Honda CR-V swap places for second and third, as the top-3 SUVs in Canada all managed to top 5k sales in September. The Ford came out ahead of the Honda with a 6.9% year-on-year increase, but a strong showing by the CR-V through September keeps it 537 sales ahead of the Escape year-to-date.
September was less fruitful for Jeep, as the Cherokee tumbled four places to twelfth in the Canadian SUV market after its sales fell 33.9% year-on-year. Its rugged sibling the Wrangler fell off the bottom of the top-20 SUVs altogether after only 950 left Canadian showrooms.
The Nissan Qashqai ascends to thirteenth in the top-20 in only its fourth month on sale in Canada, a clear indication of the power of the Nissan badge in the crowded SUV / Crossover segment.
