The RAV4 marches onward to post another record month in August. Even on a good month, it has outsold the Best-Selling Car – the Camry – by more than 6,000 units, hammering home the dominance of the SUV in the US car market in the process.
August also saw the Toyota RAV4 overtake the rival Nissan Rogue in YTD terms as well as monthly sales. The past three months of growth for the Toyota saw the Nissan SUV’s sales fall by 2,000 per month.
The Chevrolet Equinox’s sales figures continue to describe a parabola, hitting a peak in June and August after dipping for May and July. A welcome 28,245 deliveries last month sees the Equinox nestled within 1,000 sales of the aforementioned Nissan, and lifts its YTD to 185,233.
Historical monthly and yearly sales figures for any of these best-selling SUVs and crossovers can always be accessed through the dropdown menu at GCBC’s Sales Stats page, and for those not viewing the mobile version of this site, near the top right of this page, as well.
