Yet again, the Tesla Model 3 outsold all other luxury vehicles in the US market, with the momentum musk’s mid-size electric motor showing no signs of abating just yet.
Beneath it, the next top sellers are all SUVs; the next luxury passenger car to make the top-20 is the Lexus ES, taking ninth for the month amongst those luxury vehicles to have reported sales for August so far.
It is here that we begin to see some red in the chart – the Lexus, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3-Series all follow the downward trend for sedans in the US, with Audi bucking the trend with the A4 and Q7.
