The Audi Q5 remains a clear leader in ther Luxury segment in Canada, though July saw its sales fall compared with June.
July was still the Q5’s third-best month in 2017, behind June’s 911 and a staggering 1,254 sales in April, with 5,668 sold in the first 7 months this year.
Sales of Luxury SUVs dominate the Canadian top-20, with 7 out of the top 10 Luxury models in July some form of SUV or Crossover.
The BMW X1 sits in fourth, topping 600 sales in a month for the second time in 2016. Having sold 3,540 cars already this year, the X1 had its best year to July since 2012, when 176 more cars had been sold up to the beginning of August. That wasn’t even its best year of sales – 2016’s figures topped 2012’s at 5,205 to 4,776. Given that it’s currently 30.1% ahead of the same point last year it looks set to top 2016’s performance by a non-inconsiderable margin.
