Our Take On The Top 20 Best-Selling Luxury Vehicle Sales Numbers
Sedans were pushed out of the luxury top five in America in December, with a slew of SUVs and crossovers from familiar brands taking their places.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3-Series were replaced in fourth and fifth place by the Audi Q5 and BMW X5, with both sedans posting percentage declines in double figures against last year’s totals for December.
In fact, the 3-Series fell out of the top 10 altogether, nestling in eleventh just above the Mercedes-Benz E / CLS-Class.
The Q5 was a driving force in a year that Audi has celebrated as an all-time record for the brand in the United States, with its addition of 8,000 units to the total for the brand for the year.
