Our Take On The Top 20 Best Selling Car Sales Numbers

The Tesla Model 3 gained another place in the US top-20, moving from fifth to fourth position as a sharp increase in deliveries compared with August saw its total for the month surpass the Toyota Corolla.

Corolla sales are down 36.5% year-on-year for September, one of the sharper declines across the top-20 best-sellling cars for last month, but by no means the sharpest.

Chevrolet Malibu volume takes that crown, with a 57.4% difference to last September’s figures.

Two Kias – the Optima and Soul – managed year-on-year growth despite the obvious headwinds, with each crawling higher up the table as a result.
