Best Selling Pickup Trucks in Canada for September 2018
Here you will find the Pickup Truck sales leaders in Canada for September 2018. Each month we compile the pickup truck sales data and reports for North American markets and analyze it to create the best selling list below.
Our Take On The Pickup Truck Sales Numbers
Ford’s 14.1% year-on-year drop in sales in September was almost mirrored by the F-Series pickup’s 14.7% year-on-year decrease, with the top-seller’s sales marred along with the rest of the market by consumer uncertainty over the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which was agreed as an update to the 25-year-old NAFTA on Sunday.
Pickups from Ram, GMC and Chevrolet also suffered as discussions rumbled on, with each of the Detroit big three manufacturers seeing Canadian sales fall for the month.
Those automakers – and their sales staff – will be hopeful for an easier time of things in October now that the deal has been struck.
Small and midsize pickups remained in growth through the turmoil however, posting a 2.92% year-on-year increase through September. Supported largely year-to-date by the sales success of the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, the small and midsize pickups outlined below close out the third quarter of 2018 with an 8.61% lead over 2017 to this point, while full size pickup sales have swung in the opposite direction.
