Our Take On The Pickup Truck Sales Numbers

The two full-size pickup truck sales leaders saw declines through June, with both the Ford F-Series and Ram Pickup going red for their percentage columns for the month.

Yet again the best news in the Canadian pickup market came from the mid-field in terms of sales volume, with Chevrolet and Toyota’s offering faring well alongside the Nissan Titan and GMC Canyon.

While full-size pickups struggled to gain traction for the month, small / midsize pickups had a more fruitful month, with sales up 1.4% in June, which contributes to an overall 8.93% year-to-date lift for the smaller end of the market.

With full-size pickups representing the vast majority of sales, figures to the end of June see the pickup market in Canada continue on a downward trajectory.
