Pickup truck sales in Canada are slightly behind their performance to the end of February 2017’s sales figures, despite sharp increases in sales of small / midsize pickups.
Combined sales of the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, Nissan Frontier and Honda Ridgeline soared 16.87% over last February’s results to put the midsize market almost 1000 units ahead of 2017 after just two months – a percentage increase of nearly 25%.
Full size trucks suffered in the meantime, with the Ford F-Series, Ram Pickup and GMC Sierra all posting harsh declines, taking with them a combined 2642 sales from the top end of the chart out of February’s sales figures – that’s 200 trucks more than were sold in total in the small / midsize end of the pickup truck market for perspective.
Only two full size pickup trucks – the Chevrolet Silverado and the Toyota Tundra – posted positive year-on-year growth in February.
