Another shot of sales for the Ford Mustang helped keep the Canadian muscle car market ahead of its April 2018 totals, though combined sales of all three of the muscle cars in our chart resulted in an uplift of just 42 sales.
Sales in the Euro sports car category remain up on last year’s totals for the first four months, with the drops in sales year-on-year for April mostly affecting the less voluminous models in the table. Soaring demand fro the Porsche 718 and Audi TT in Canada has balanced out flagging interest in the Jaguar F-Type and the low volume Alfa Romeo 4C for the year so far, though total sales in April fell short of the total for the same month last year.
German sporty cars top the premium sports cars chart for April, with strong sales for the Porsche 911 and Audi R8 continuing through last month.
The Mazda MX-5 Miata showed some signs of recovery last month after a slow start to the year, while all others in the miscellaneous category saw drops in sales apart from the BMW 2-Series and the Audi A5.
