Here you will find the Small SUV sales leaders in Canada for July 2018. Each month we compile the Small SUV sales data and reports for North American markets and analyze it to create the best selling list below.
Sales of small SUVs grew yet again for the month of July, going against the current of the broader Canadian market, with total sales of all vehicles shrinking compared with 2017.
While July’s year-on-year growth was less steep than June’s (5.5% last month to 12.2% the month before), it managed to keep in line with the average growth across the segment year-to-date for 2018 so far.
Some steep-growing models outdid the backslide of many others; the Honda CR-V at the top of the chart increased its July performance by almost 20% on 2017, while the Volkswagen Tiguan and Mitsubishi Outlander saw the steepest rises in sales.
The Jeep Compass, conversely, saw sales cut in half for July in what was a difficult month for parent company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
Tall hatch sales continue to soar, with the Nissan Kicks booting its way into the top-five sellers for July 2018 in the segment, just above the healthily-selling Subaru XV Crosstrek. Another Nissan, the Qashqai, continues its dominance of the tall hatch arena.
