Our Take On The Small SUVs Sales Numbers
Small SUV sales in the USA were up 3.7% in September, though the growth came mainly from the addition of three nameplates to the market that weren’t present a year ago.
When sales of the Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Kona and Nissan Kicks are taken out of the equation – all of which have established themselves well through 2018 so far – the total sales of the remaining nameplates equate to a 0.3% year-on-year decline for the month compared with September 2017.
