Small And Midsize Luxury SUV Sales In Canada – July 2017

Sales of BMW’s X3 and X4 are down as the Audi Q5 continues to sell in impressive numbers. The two BMWs are now only incrimentally ahead of sales in the first seven months of 2016, while the Audi has sold over a thousand more than it had at this point last year.

It’s a different story for the brands’ Subcompact Luxury SUV offerings, however. The BMW X1 continues to outstrip the Audi Q3, while bettering its YTD figures to July’s end by 30.1%.

The Cadillac XT5 has proven a success so far for the brand, and shows impressive growth over figures posted by its predecessor, the SRX, in previous years.

You can click any model name in the tables below to find historical monthly and yearly Canadian auto sales data. You can also select a make and model at GCBC’s Sales Stats page. These tables are sortable, so you can rank luxury SUVs and crossovers any which way you like. Mobile users can now thumb across tables for full-width access. Suggestions on how GCBC should break down segments can be passed on through the Contact page.

GCBC isn’t here to break down segments, an impossible task for any group, but to display sales data for the sake of comparison. The more ways sales data can be displayed, the better. This explains you’ll see the XC70 listed with luxury cars as well as with SUVs and crossovers and the Touareg with luxury SUVs and mainstream SUVs… because readers have wanted it both ways. You can always find the sales results for EVERY vehicle and form your own competitive sets by using the All Vehicle Rankings posts.
