Our Take On The Small And Midsize Luxury SUVs Sales Numbers
Subcompact Luxury SUVs kept up with last November’s sales, managing 3.3% growth year-on-year overall. Only the Audi Q3 saw its figures for this November dip on last, and then only by 21 sales.
Infiniti deserves credit for much of the growth here this month – its QX30 grew 29.2% year-on-year to contribute 138 sales to the segment’s 231 sales increase.
Lexus takes the top spot once again in both the Compact and Midsize Luxury SUV markets, with 5.5% year-on-year for the NX in the former, and the RX’s second 10k+ sales month this year in the latter. December has historically been a consistently strong month for the RX, while the NX last year also saw an end-of-year upturn.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class is snapping at the NX’s heels in the Compact Luxury class – its sales took another sharp increase on last year’s figures in November to put itself within 50 sales of the NX’s total for the month.
