The Honda Civic, clear leader in the Canadian compact car segment, was one of the few nameplates to post gains in what was a difficult September across the industry.

At the end of the third quarter, none of our compact or warm hatch cars have improved their performance on last year, and those that have across the other sectors are generally in the minority.

Tall hatches once again prove the exception at the ¾-point in the year, this segment’s sales are up 19.9% year-to-date, as these crossover-aping hatches provide an entry point to the SUV craze for consumers.
