Here you will find the Compact Car sales leaders in Canada for July 2018. Each month we compile the Compact Car sales data and reports for North American markets and analyze it to create the best selling list below.
Most small car segments in the Canadian market are well behind 2017’s levels year-to-date.
Narrowly missing the break-even point after July’s sales are the city cars, with the Chevrolet Spark’s doubling of its sales to this point last year balancing out losses from its competitors.
Tall Hatches are pinching market share from other segments here, and perhaps some buyers who may be considering an SUV or crossover, but find that one of these models suits their needs well enough. The only two models to show any red on this chart are the two Fiats, as the brand sold a diminuitive amount of cars across its nameplates through July.
The Honda Civic regained some ground in July, outpacing July 2017’s sales and edging it closer to equaling 2017’s year-to-date performance, but only two others in the compact chart managed any growth in July. The Chevrolet Cruze and Nissan Sentra surpassed their totals from the same month last year, but year-to-date every compact vehicle for sale in Canada is behind.
