Our Take On The Small and Midsize Luxury SUV Sales Numbers
Small and Midsize Luxury SUV sales numbers in Canada saw a mixed bag of results. Compact Luxury SUVs saw sales declines for both December and 2018 when compared to last year. However, Compact and Midsize Luxury SUV sales rose for December and 2018.
In the entire Compact Luxury SUV segment, only three models saw sales declines for 2018. The month of December was more varied, but it still showed mostly positive results.
The Midsize Luxury SUV segment had an almost even split of models that saw sales increases and those that saw decreases. However, the increases were generally higher than the decreases, driving more sales overall for 2018. December was more of the same for the segment with roughly 240 more units sold during the month.
The Compact Luxury SUV saw the majority of the sales growth in 2018. 2019 could be more of the same.
