Some nameplates suffered with one fewer selling day more than others in September, with the high-selling the RAV4 and Rogue selling over 10% fewer units for the month compared with a year ago.
The Honda CR-V also failed to improve on its performance from last year, though it came closer with just a 1.28% gap year-on-year. On a daily-selling-rate basis, CR-V actually outperformed itself from September 2018.
The Jeep Compass and Cherokee saw steep upticks in September, a month that saw Jeep’s parent company FCA overtake Ford Motor Company in the manufacturer rankings.
