The Nissan Rogue leapfrogged the competition in November 2017 to come incredibly close to snatching third place from the Ram Pickup.
A 0.5% year-on-year drop in sales for the Ram and, more notably, 35.5% growth for the Rogue brought the Nissan within 700 sales of a podium spot in our countdown of the best selling vehicles in the US.
The Toyota RAV4, which has been cleaning up of late in the US, nose-dived to eighth place in our countdown, though its sales still grew 2.2% on last year’s figures for the eleventh month. November was the RAV4’s worst month since February in the States.
Toyota Motor Corporation has revised its quarterly profits after a tough quarter from July-September. Though the profit revision was an increase on previously forecast figures, the automaker noted that this increase was mostly down to a favourable currency impact, as it faces increased marketing costs in the US.
It’s not all bad news for Japan’s biggest automaker however – sales of the Camry sedan were up 24.1%, putting the Camry fifth overall for the month.
