Our Take On The Minivan Sales Numbers
A factory shutdown for retooling this time last year hit the Dodge Grand Caravan’s numbers hard, but sees it become the growth highlight in our countdown of minivan sales in the USA in September 2018.
It also enhances the Grand Caravan’s healthy growth year-to-date. Over the first three quarters of the year so far, around a third of all minivans sold in the USA have been Grand Caravans.
The other two thirds of the minivan market are split mainly between three models – the Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, with the Honda the only minivan besides the Grand Caravan to post year-on-year growth in September.
