Our Take On The Minivan Sales Numbers

Chrysler sales continued to struggle in July, but its minivan managed to post an uptick despite one fewer selling day than the same month in 2017.

Chrysler Pacifica sales were up 5.88% last month, making it the only minivan model to report its sales figures to improve year-on-year in July.

Sales of the Honda Odyssey, a new model of which arrived earlier in the year, did not match the pace of July 2018 though the nameplate clings to overall growth for the seven months to date overall.

An updated Toyota Sienna, featuring a mild facelift, is also due shortly. Its sales are sharply down for the year so far, with July’s figures not helping matters.
