Here you will find the Minivan sales leaders in the United States for April 2018. Each month we compile the minivan model sales data and reports for North American markets and analyze it to create the best selling list below.
Minivan sales in America are sitting 1.6% ahead of where they were to April’s end last year, which is an encouraging sign for a market that has been hit heavily by increasing SUV sales.
Figures aren’t quite where they were two years ago, when the year-to-date total hit almost 200,000 units at this point, though 2016 was slightly anomalous.
Sales of minivans actually dropped slightly for the month of April, but daily sales in the sector overall were up for the month.
The main players driving the year-to-date growth retain the vast majority of market share; the Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Pacifica and Honda Odyssey, in first, second and fourth place for the year so far, are the only models to display growth, though all have grown in double-figure percentages.
*GM has now switched to quarterly reporting so figures for Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC are not up to date. We have opted against using estimated sales figures for these brands as the estimates across publications have been inconsistent.
Going forward, GoodCarBadCar will be releasing quarterly sales reports that include all figures on a quarterly basis.
