The Midsize SUV sales for the month of March in Canada were strong. The segment saw a sales increase for the segment of roughly 1,300 units. The YTD numbers for the segment also looked good, but not quite as impressive. The segment was only up by a few hundred sales.
Leading the pack in terms of overall sales was the Jeep Wrangler. Despite its top spot in terms of sales volume, the Wrangler saw a sales decline of over 33 percent.
The big winners in the segment for March were the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which saw a jump of 45 percent; the Honda Pilot, which saw an increase of nearly 69 percent; and the Ford Flex, which managed to secure an increase of over 162 percent.
It will be interesting to see if the segment can maintain its positive momentum as the year continues on past the first quarter.
