Our Take On The Midsize SUVs Sales Numbers

At the mid-point of the year, mid-size SUV sales are up by 7.72%.

GM reported their sales figures for the past three months at the end of June, meaning we have a clearer picture of where their models sit in the sales standings than we have had recently. The Chevrolet Traverse sits pretty with a 29.6% year-to-date increase in its sales. The Buick Enclave, similarly has seen an uptick though at a less steep 15.3%.

The GMC Acadia is the only General Motors vehicle here to experience an overall drop in sales over the past six months, with its sales for the quarter averaging out to far below its totals for Q2 2017.

The Jeep Wrangler sits well clear at the top of the chart in the year-to-date column, though June sees a further leveling off of its year-on-year sales percentage increase, perhaps as inventory of the old model begins to dry up a bit.
