The Jeep Wrangler continues to lead the charge of midsize SUVs in Canada, with its 186% growth year-to-date adding 4331 sales to the total number of vehicles in this segment sold in the first two months of 2018.
In its first February on sale, the Volkswagen Atlas three-row SUV also helped add sales to the total for this segment. So far this year, it is just ahead of the (also three-row) Honda Pilot’s sales volume year-to-date.
The recently renewed Chevrolet Traverse more than doubled its average for the first two months of the year from 2015-2017, ending February with 838 sales under its belt year-to-date.
Sharp growth for these models and the Hyundai Santa Fe XL, the Mazda CX-9 and the Buick Enclave helped drive this segment to 17.6% year-on-year growth despise sharp drops in sales for the Nissan Pathfinder and Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Year-to-date, midsize SUV sales overall for Canada are ahead by 21.7% on last year’s total to this point.
