Our Take On The Midsize Cars Sales Numbers

There was little growth among the vehicles to report their sales figures for July 2018 in the mid size passenger car sector.

The Kia Optima provided a highlight, impressive posting 37.6% year-on-year growth for the month, though the Korean sedan still sits 14.6% behind its sales total to July’s end in 2017. Kia can be chuffed though, as that 3000-unit boost comes along with the arrival of in-house competition in the form of the more upmarket Stinger to the segment and against a backdrop segment-wide.

Optima sales also grew, interestingly, by just a touch under the amount by which the Ford Fusion’s sales dropped.
