Our Take On The Midsize Car Sales Numbers
October’s figures tell a broadly similar story to Novembers, with the Toyota Camry continuing its strong growth way ahead of the rest of the pack. It now looks unlikely that any other vehicle will top it to become Canada’s best-selling midsize car for 2017.
The Honda Accord’s rift to its performance this month last year fell from October to 17.9% in November, but it has fallen behind its year-to-date total for last year by 16 sales.
The Ford Fusion overtook the Chevrolet Malibu and now sits third in the countdown for November for both the month and year-to-date countdowns.
Another month of increases for midsize hybrids goes against the overall trend for midsize vehicles. The broader sector was down 25% year-on-year, but hybrids increased 32.9%. Only the Prius brought any red into this table in November.
