Our Take On The Midsize Car Sales Numbers

Sales of the traditionally-powered midsize sedans in our countdown combine for a year-on-year drop of 29.5%, with the top-two – the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord – each managing to increase their sales by a considerable portion on last January.

Very little other green appears in the chart however, save a block at the bottom for the low-volume and newly-introduced models, including the Kia Stinger.

On the flip side, consumers in Canada bought 38.5% more hybrid and electric vehicles, with the Chevrolet Bolt carrying over the momentum it gathered over the course of 2017.
