March 2019 – The Best-Selling SUVs In Canada – Every SUV Ranked

The GCBC Analysis

The SUV segment in Canada for the month of March looks to be in a good spot. Overall, sales were up almost 6,400 units. March proved to be what sent the quarterly sales results into the positive for the year. Quarterly sales were up around 6,400 units as well.

Leading the pack was the Honda CR-V with a sales increase of almost 24 percent. It was followed by the Toyota RAV4, which saw a sales decline of around five percent. Rounding out the top three was the Nissan Rogue, though it, too, saw a sales decline. It was down about three percent.

Notable sales increases came from the Hyundai Kona, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Nissan Qashqai, and Mitsubishi Outlander among others.

The month’s sales results bode well for the rest of the year, though, it’s interesting to see just one month have such an impact on quarterly sales. It will be interesting to see if the positive momentum increases.
