Large SUV sales in Canada for the month of March weren’t very impressive. The segment only had two models that managed to keep from seeing sales losses. The YTD numbers look pretty similar, too. Overall, for the month the segment was down around 350 sales. For the year so far, the segment was down about 360 sales.
Leading the way for the segment in March was the Chevrolet Tahoe. It managed to see a .7 percent sales increase. The GMC Yukon XL was the other model that saw an increase in sales. It jumped about 36 percent.
All other models saw sales decreases. Three saw double-digit percentage decreases while two models saw single-digit sales decreases. If the first quarter of sales is any indication for the rest of the year, the segment will continue to see decreases.
