Our Take On The Large Luxury SUV Sales Numbers

Full size luxury SUVs reported in our table below saw sales increase sharply year-on-year by 39.9%, with sales up 8.3% in the first quarter of 2018.

Two recently-renewed models, the Lincoln Navigator and Infiniti QX80 led the growth, with sales more than doubling for the Infiniti and more than trebling for the Navigator compared with last March – both boosting the sales total for the month.

March’s sales volume leader in the segment was the Range Rover – up 51.3% – which launched its volume well ahead of last month’s chart-topper the Cadillac Escalade.

Three models saw sales drop year-on-year in March – the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, Lexus LX and Bentley Bentayga.
