Our Take On The Large Luxury SUVs Sales Numbers

With the arrival of GM’s third-quarter sales figures, we can see that the Cadillac Escalade family outperformed all other nameplates in its segment. Escalade sales rose consistently throughout the quarter, and year-to-date its sales are more than double that of the Lincoln Navigator – even as the Navigator itself has almost doubled its sales compared with this point a year ago.

Availability issues are still hampering the Mercedes-Benz G- and GLS-Class among other models according to Mercedes-Benz, though the GLS model hasn’t posted year-on-year growth for any month since October 2017.

Things are close between the Range Rover and the Infiniti QX80, both of which posted sturdy gains for last month. At the end of Q3, the Infiniti is closing in on the Range Rover, having increased its sales by 1.2% year-on-year, while the Rangie’s sales are down by 0.3% for the first three quarters of the year.
