Our Take On The Large Luxury SUVs Sales Numbers

The Cadillac Escalade has stormed ahead of the rest of the large luxury SUV market so far in 2018, with March seeing it grow sales by 14% year-on-year.

For the first quarter, Escalade sales are up 8.1% year-to-date, while total sales of full-size luxury SUVs for 2018 year-to-date have slid 1.75% back on the performance to the end of March 2017.

The first three months of 2017 was a far better time for the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class than more recently; so far its sales have fallen by 29% in 2018, creating a 2245-sales black hole that gains so far this year for the Infiniti QX80, Lincoln Navigator and low-volume Bentley Bentayga have been unable to counter alongside the Cadillac.
