Our Take On The Large Luxury Cars Sales Numbers
Beneath Tesla’s estimates for sales of the Model S, the leading Large Luxury Car in the USA for November was the evergreen Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which sold 22.2% more cars than the same month last year.
This, plus spikes in sales for the Genesis G90 and BMW 6-Series, was only enough to put the Large Luxury Car segment within 170 sales of last year’s total, marking a 2.2% drop.
That gap is down from 13.4% for the month before’s year-on-year drop, but one glance at the table is enough to know that swathes of this market are marked red for the month year-on-year and year-to-date.
Even the Porsche Panamera missed out on its ninth consecutive month of growth in November, falling short of last year’s total for this month by just two sales.
