Our Take On The Large Luxury Cars Sales Numbers
Sales of large luxury cars in America are now 20.2% ahead of where they were at this point last year.
Even without the addition of the all-electric Tesla Model S, which represents 40% of large luxury car sales every month, the difference for the more traditional nameplates in this table is a whopping 22.9% in the green compared with the total to the end of last February.
A huge increase in sales of the Porsche Panamera has helped massively, with 1149 additional sales since January 1st to the total year-to-date being attributable to the super saloon from Stuttgart.
It’s not the only vehicle pulling its weight however – sales of the Lexus LS were up 86.4% year-on-year in February, and the BMW 6-Series grew its sales by over 67% on last February’s results.
