Our Take On The Large Car Sales Numbers

Sales of large cars in Canada have fallen behind 2017’s total for the first five months of the year, with year-on-year total sales were down by a fifth on May 2017’s total.

The table-topping Chrysler 300’s fall in sales should not be viewed as entirely detrimental. May’s sales were around average for the month, with the Chrysler having to contend with an especially voluminous May in 2017 in the table below.

Similarly for the Dodge Charger – last May its sales in Canada represented a high water mark in recent history, with May 2018’s 798 sales a significant increase over the May average for the model.
