Sales of volume-brand large passenger cars in Canada fell by 25% year-on-year in March, with sales over the first quarter also down by 6.3%.
Only the Dodge Charger posted year-on-year growth in March, with a 43.2% increase handing it an easy top spot in the segment for the month 260 units clear of its next closest rival, the Chevrolet Impala.
The Impala, in second, comfortably outsold the Chrysler 300 and Nissan Maxima (third and fourth for March) combined. The same is true for the Maxima and the fifth and sixth placed Ford Taurus and Buck LaCrosse.
Only three nameplates go green for the first quarter – the Charger, the Chevrolet Impala and the Buick LaCrosse are ahead of their performances in the first three months of 2017.
