Sales of all large car models in the USA sold fewer units this September than last, with only the facelifted Toyota Avalon remaining ahead of its 2017 performance to the end of Q3.
Dodge Charger and Chevrolet Impala sales fell by over 20% last month, wiping almost 4000 from the sector total. A shutdown at the Brampton plant for paint shop upgrades where the Charger is built can take some of the blame for the dip.
With many automakers reporting strong large SUV sales for September, it’s not difficult to surmise where these buyers have turned.
