Best Selling Large Cars in Canada for February 2018
Here you will find the Large Car sales leaders in Canada for February 2018. Each month we compile the Large car sales data and reports for North American markets and analyze it to create the best selling list below.
Large car sales in Canada grew year-on-year last month, with February’s contribution bringing the total for the year-to-date to 2191 sales across the eight nameplates – a 12.9% rise over the first two months of 2017.
That puts large car sales so far this year in total just 49 more than the newly-launched Nissan Qashqai crossover, as some context to the large car market’s place in the overall Canadian vehicle parc.
Despite a backslide for the vehicles’ brands this month to the tune of around 20% each, the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger both fared well in February, with the Charger more than doubling last February’s total sales to push 37.7% ahead after a lackluster start to the year.
Gains for these nameplates and the Chevrolet Impala and Buick LaCrosse more than balanced out losses for the Nissan Maxima – now 98 units behind last year’s sales volume to date – and the Toyota Avalon – 17 units behind, a drop of 34% for the model. Kia’s Cadenze also slid by two units, inconsequential for the wider segment but wiping almost 20% from its year-to-date performance this time last year.
