The SUV sector after the first six months of the year paints a very happy picture, with sales across the nameplates below up a staggering 14% year-to-date.
Many major manufacturers’ SUV and light truck offering has seen increases so far in 2018; Ford’s were up 2%, Toyota across both its eponymous and Lexus luxury brand noted record utility vehicle and light truck sales for the year so far, every one of Mazda’s CX-branded SUVs posted year-on-year growth for the month of June, and Nissan’s SUV sales were up 12% for the month.
Nissan’s Rogue has a clear lead year-to-date, with its sales up 10% on last year for this point. It was pipped to the top spot for June by the RAV4, with the Toyota mustering 10.5% year-on-year sales growth to put is ahead by 718 units for the month.
