June 2015 sales of the Ford Expedition-led, GM-dominated large SUV class increased by more than 200 units to 865 sales, or 0.5% of the overall new vehicle market’s volume.
South of the border, where sales of the segment slid 32.2%, the same nameplates accounted for 1.4% of the auto industry’s June sales.

GM’s market share in the Canadian full-size category dove from 78% in June 2014 to 58% in June 2015 as Ford’s Expedition jumped 280% to 251 units. The Expedition, remember, takes into account sales of long and regular-wheelbase versions. Put that way, the Chevrolet brand alone – even without help from their GMC twins – sold 264 Suburbans and Tahoes.
