40% more SUVs were sold in Canada in January 2018 than passenger cars, despite there being almost 40 more nameplates in our passenger car countdown.
Starting January in phenomenal growth, the Jeep Wrangler takes second place in the overall SUV sales chart after almost trebling its sales on last January. The off-roader slots in between less rugged models from Honda and Ford in the countdown of the first month of this year’s SUV sales.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee and Compass also ended January on a high note, with Compass in particular managing 632.4% growth over last January – though that was prior to the current model’s introduction.
Sales of the new Subaru Crosstrek are also up considerably year-on-year, with the Impreza-based Crossover coming in just behind the Nissan Qashqai.
