Our Take On The Commercial Van Sales Numbers

With both Ford and GM reporting quarterly now, it’s hard to get a full picture of van sales. However, according to the data we do have, Ram lead the way. The ProMaster saw a significant sales increase when compared to January of last year.

The Nissan NV and Ram ProMaster City also saw sales increases for the month.

However, Mercedes-Benz’s Sprinter and Metris didn’t fare too well. Both saw notable sales decreases. The Nissan NV 200, while in a high spot in terms of volume, also saw a slight decrease in sales over last year’s numbers.

Ford’s Transit and Transit Connect and GM’s vans are usually high sellers and would likely have ended up near the top of the rankings. It will be interesting to see how the brands kicked things off in 2019 once the quarterly reporting comes in.
