Our Take On The Commercial Van Sales Numbers

It’s important to note that Ford and GM’s sales are not included due to the fact that both companies reporting sales quarterly.

With that in mind, the Ram ProMaster led the way in terms of sales volume for the commercial van segment. It saw a huge three-digit percentage surge in sales.

The Mercedes-Benz Metris and the Nissan NV both also experienced significant sales increases, though not as large as the ProMaster’s. The other vans in the segment all saw double-digit percentage decreases.

With Ford’s Transit and Transit Connect’s history of strong sales and Chevrolet’s Express van’s sales, we’d assume those two companies will land somewhere in the top half of the segment for overall sales. It will be interesting to see if the sales increase or decrease when compared to this time last year.
