Big cars were less popular in 2011 than they were in 2010, at least in Canada. And by less popular, we do mean way less popular. Toyota Avalon sales only slid 1.2%, but the Avalon is the least popular big mainstream car. Its paltry sales total placed it on Canada’s Worst-Selling Cars list for 2011.
But it gets much worse than 1% declines. Buick LaCrosse sales fell 28%. The Chrysler 300 was down 27%. And Ford Taurus sales dropped 15%. Not a single one of these vehicles were selling in large numbers before they suffered such drastic declines.
