Large Car Sales Figures In Canada – June 2013 YTD

Canadian sales of the Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet Impala, Chrysler 300, Ford Taurus, Hyundai Genesis sedan, and Nissan Maxima were lower in June 2013 than in June 2012. Quite a bit lower.

And of the three extremely low-volume months achieved by the new Kia Cadenza, June was the lowest.

The bright spot in the category would be the Toyota Avalon, but only if we’re thinking in a growth context. Avalon volume was nearly seven times stronger this June than in June 2012, but it’s still a bit player in the large car category.

Chrysler sold five 300s for every one Avalon. Indeed, Lexus ES volume was more than double what Toyota managed with the Avalon, a car which sells 50 times more often in the U.S. than it does in Canada.
