Between the Nissan Juke, Mitsubishi RVR, Mini Countryman, and the new Chevrolet Trax, Canada’s crop of truly small crossovers found 791 buyers in December 2012. Expect to see a big increase in Trax sales in the coming months.

The Chevrolet Equinox, Dodge Journey, Hyundai Santa Fe, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot, Kia Sorento, Mitsubishi Outlander, Mitsubishi RVR, Nissan Juke, Subaru Forester, and Suzuki Grand Vitara all recorded year-over-year sales declines in Canada. Mazda’s CX-7 and Tribute, plus Honda’s Element, are no longer on sale in Canada. Predictably, sales fell off a cliff in 2012.
