The strength of full-size vans caused the growth. Full-size nameplates, led by the Ford Transit, owned 86% of the overall sector thanks to a 44% year-over-year increase to 3742 sales, 46% of which were produced by Ford.
The full-size Ford duo weren’t the only vans to post meaningful increases in May. The Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana twins jumped 115% to 1149 units.
